Priyanka Chopra is currently busy promoting documentary ‘Women of My Billion’ (WOMB), which has been directed by Ajitesh Sharma. The actor during an interview shared that she was unaware of the fact that there is a right to ask for pay parity. The Quantico actress further claimed that pay parity does not happen in Bollywood but she was told that it is normal to ask in Hollywood.
In a conversation with India Today, Priyanka Chopra said “When my agents told me that we were going to ask for pay parity, even I was surprised. I was like, ‘What? No, that doesn’t happen in our industry.’ And they were like, ‘Let’s just ask the question.’ So, I didn’t even know that I had that power. I did not know I could aspire for more, because I was desensitised. I was told this is normal.”
