Amid the uproar over the BCCI contract snub, India batter Shreyas Iyer will return to action for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy semifinal match against Tamil Nadu at Bandra Kurla Complex beginning on Saturday.

Iyer was dropped from the Grade B contract along with Ishan Kishan, who was omitted from the Grade C deal. On the eve of the clash, Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane backed the out-of-form batter and said he does not need any motivation to perform big for his state team.
